An extensive validation of CaThe, our thermochemical code, has been performed by comparing its results with experimental data, to assess accuracy. The findings are based on a series of tests designed to ensure the reliability of the code’s predictions.
- Comparison of calculated velocities of detonation (VODs) against experimental data for a wide range of explosives with varying properties
- Verification of the relationship between VOD and the explosive’s initial density
- Comparison of calculated isentropic expansion with experimentally calibrated reference curves
RateStick validation
RateStick has been validated against experimental data, demonstrating accurate predictions of velocity of detonation (VOD) under varying confinement conditions and charge diameters.
